Work: projects broken into tasks

An installation job, the year-end close or a new product line can each be set up as a project, with tasks the whole team can see.

ProductWork

Each project as a list of tasks, ticked off as the work gets done.

What this solves

Projects and routines slip when they live in people's heads

01Today

Site jobs, internal projects, SOPs and documents are tracked on calls and chats, and nobody sees what is late.

02In MatruOS

Work holds projects, tasks, documents, routines and the business's own built tools, linked to the customers and orders they serve.

03What changes

Each job has an owner and a due date, and the owner sees what is late without asking.

How Work is laid out

ProjectsOne project per job, named the way you talk about it, such as "Diwali stock build-up".
TasksBreak the project into the steps that need doing, one task each.
Ticked doneTick a task when it is finished, and the project shows what is left.
Next to the numbersProjects sit in the same system as your invoices and stock, so you can read progress and money side by side.

Where it helps

A plant adding a second production line, a CA firm preparing for the audit season, an exporter readying a first shipment: each is a set of steps that usually ends up on a whiteboard or in a WhatsApp group. In Work, the steps stay with the business.

Kept simple on purpose

Work stays light: a project, its tasks and a tick for each one done. Teams use it from the first week, and nobody needs training to read it.

How it works

How it goes in MatruOS

  1. Create a projectGive it a name your team will recognise.
  2. Add tasksList each step that needs doing.
  3. Work through themThe team picks up tasks and gets them done.
  4. Tick them offMark each task done and see what remains.

Questions

Questions people ask

Is Work meant for client jobs or internal ones?

Both. A project can be a client engagement, such as a year-end close, or an internal job, such as a godown move.

How do I start a project?

Open the Work area, name the project, add its tasks, and tick each one as it is finished.

Do CA firms use Work for GST filing?

CA firms get a filing board for GST returns in their industry area. Work suits the jobs that sit around it, such as an audit checklist.
